He’s Andy’s main man…:-) The Myerming B&B with grapevines in the distance Towerkop and it’s moods Visible from Myerming, this was a beautiful setting En route to Franchoeck (Wine Region), Andy suggested we have a stop at Ronnies Sex Shop Ronnie’s is really just a bar and curio stand which changed it’s name from Ronnie’s Bar to Ronnie’s Sex Shop at the suggestion of one of it’s local customers It paid off huge and is now a must see tourist stop despite it’s extremely remote location Many ladies have gotten into the spirit of fun here and left their “unmentionables” as a momento to their visit These personal items decorate the entire ceiling At the same location is the “Roadkill Cafe” Would YOU have lunch here? Really reminded me of driving through the US Southwest Outside the Roadkill Cafe and Ronnie’s Sex Shop Built a long time ago, not quite how they’d do it today Baboons are everywhere in South Africa. Especially if there is people and FOOD to be scavenged around Arriving in the Franchoeck Valley of South Africa Our digs in Franchoeck’s scenic wine country A lovely B&B – Le Petite Ferme Restaurant at Le Petite Ferme is very well known in South Africa Lovely outdoor restaurant seating John Dendy Young founded the winery over 40 years ago. He’s semi retired as his son runs the property, but he does a wonderful tour Showing us the grapes John with a “Wine Thief” used to sample the aging process in the barrels. Many of these barrels are American Oak Giving the tourists a taste The wines of Franchoeck John gives us all a taste. It was great and we bought several bottles Le Petite Ferme Huguenot Memoria The Huguenots we’re French Calvinists. Persecuted in France for their beliefs, many emigrated to South Africa where the Dutch Reform Church taught the principles of John Calvin
