Our travels from Savusavu, Fiji to Port Denarau Marina. (The Shark Dive will be it’s own separate Gallery)…..

Leowa was our “go to gal” in Savusavu. She helped us get our Lau permit and was a very pleasant young lady.
-
-
Can you just see yourself riding around with this guy?…:-)
-

The best in the region…..

Grand Central Station and The Chimneys. Only 6 bungalows here.
-
-
Anja likes to “point and shoot” and does a lovely job I might add.
-
-
Lots of current too. Lots of “bommies” and very shallow.
-
-
Vanua Levu in the background

This Island was the Pacific’s largest Leprosy Colony during the 20th Century.

Locked in the GPS coordinates of six pinnacles…all very nice
-
-
It really wasn’t bad at all!
-
-
-
They’re brave!
-
-
s/v “Casteele” on the left, s/v “Beach House” on the right. Makongdrona Island where we went diving is in the background
-

Royal Suva Yacht Club docks. They have a separate dinghy dock where we tied up
-
-
Maybe a hold over from WW2?
-
-
We watch 1960′s Ed Sullivan re-runs and a Queen Concert on the big screen outside.
-
-
Fortunately, Charlie let us tie up to his dock. The entrance was very narrow and only 5 feet deep at low tide!
-
-
Peter’s birthday was the next day and Diana had arranged for all of us to do one of the world’s premier “Shark Dives” (See next gallery!)
-
-
In only another hour!
-
-
Priceless!
-
-
New and old highways…..
-
-
It was said only one diver need be sacrificed per trip……I was going to volunteer Anja….NOT!
-
-
Only got one days dive, results are in the next gallery!

They were getting ready to feed her to the sharks…..I saved her of course!…:-)))

Diana & Anja at Peter’s Birthday Dinner….Anja made CHEESECAKE…YUM!
-
-
-
It’s a might shallow here and we had to stay right between the “goal posts”….look close!
-
-
Spinnaker pole out with the genoa, full main, 25 knots directly astern. We were doing 9-11 knots for several hours….Fast, flat and happy!
-
-
No ticky, no washy…..
-
-
No longer available. I’m literally waiting for this to be custom made here in Fiji or the machine goes to the scrap yard!
-
-
-
Preamble to Mega Yachts…..Fun!

Mystery Ship is a lovely Nordhaven 65. Yep, she looks like the dinghy off “TV”. I thought “TV” was going to have a crane come out on deck and pick her up!…
-
-
The Mega Yacht Dock here was well representative of the joys and toys of the very wealthy!
-
-
Big she is! Welcome to “Hotel Row”…..:-)
