Sandrine takes a break from her galley duties which she’s terrific at BTW! Anja felt right at home as she slung her hammock under the Bimini. We’ll go “hammer head diving” tomorrow with Peter of s/v “Quickstar” Anja arrived from Tonga on s/v “Quickstar”. As she is a Dive Master, she’ll be my buddy for awhile until Sandrine learns to Scuba We’ve had several mornings when after the daily a.m. rain we’re treated to this sight for breakfast Really it is. These two gals worked on the island only a few hundred yards from the town. This is how they got there….EVERY DAY! There are about 30 moorings here, often filled during the “season”. We got this view most nights. Sandrine enjoys shopping in the local markets and does it very well. Here she is in the Savusavu “fresh market” where we also added to our Kava collection while awaiting our permit to the rarely visited Lau Group. This has become a bit of a political football locally so we’ll press on without it and hope it arrives within the week. If not, we’ll have to skip the Lau. The public bus system here is pretty wild. These kids were non plussed by my camera We were awaiting friends on s/v “Quickstar” to arrive from Tonga and picked up a mooring here for several days. Sandrine loves to take pictures and she got some really nice ones of these dolphins on our bow wave We were just through Nasonisoni Pass when these very large dolphins decided to play with us albeit briefly.
